Imo State University

Imo State University (IMSU) is one of Nigeria’s leading state universities, established with the vision of promoting excellence in learning, research, innovation, and community service. Admission into IMSU is highly competitive, with candidates required to meet the approved JAMB cut-off mark and other admission requirements before participating in the university’s screening exercise. To further assess candidates seeking undergraduate admission, the university conducts the IMSU Post UTME screening examination, which is conducted physically using a Computer-Based Test (CBT) system. The screening examination is usually conducted at the IMSU CBT Centre, located opposite the St. Joseph Catholic Chaplaincy, Imo State University, Owerri. Candidates are expected to come to the examination venue with their JAMB Original Result Printout and Post UTME registration slip. The IMSU Post UTME examination format typically consists of 40 questions based on the exact four subjects related to the candidate’s course of study and UTME subject combination. Candidates are generally given between 15 to 30 minutes depending on the course and screening structure for the session, although many screening sessions are conducted within approximately 20 minutes. The examination mainly contains multiple-choice questions, with approximately 10 questions allocated to each subject.
