The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has officially announced the commencement of its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening registration for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Candidates who participated in the 2026 UTME or applied for Direct Entry admission are invited to apply for undergraduate admission into various programmes offered by the university.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates eligible to apply include:

- Candidates who selected FUTO as First Choice Institution in the 2026 UTME.
- Candidates who scored at least 150 in UTME.
- Candidates who did not initially choose FUTO but later changed institution to FUTO through JAMB CAPS before 31st July 2026.
- Direct Entry candidates with relevant qualifications.

Applicants must also:

- Be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026.
- Possess at least five O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- MBBS candidates must possess five relevant credits in one sitting only.

The screening exercise will be based on:

- Verified JAMB scores
- Uploaded O’Level results on JAMB CAPS

Direct Entry Requirements

Direct Entry candidates must possess:

- A’Level qualifications
- OND
- HND
- First Degree in relevant disciplines

Applicants must also ensure that:
- Their certificates are verified on JAMB CAPS
- Academic transcripts reach the Registrar before 17th August 2026

1. Generate invoice using JAMB Registration Number.
2. Make payment through Remita or ATM card.
3. Return to the portal and complete the application form.
4. Confirm details carefully.
5. Submit application successfully.
