According to the data presented, LASU recorded a total of 84,426 first-choice applications, placing it ahead of several top institutions including the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), University of Ibadan (UI), University of Benin (UNIBEN), and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
UNILAG followed closely in second position with 78,240 applications, while OAU secured third place with 60,370 applications.
The University of Ibadan came fourth with 58,895 applications, while the University of Benin occupied the fifth position with 55,425 applications.
Other universities that made the top ten list include Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), and the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).
The ranking reflects the growing popularity of LASU among UTME candidates and highlights the intense competition for admission into Nigeria’s top universities.
