About Afreximbank Internship
​The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) offers internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students from its member states, individuals of African descent in the diaspora, and non-African students whose vision aligns with the Bank's mission. Internships are available for up to six months, commencing twice a year in January and June, with applications accepted throughout the year.

Afreximbank Internship Eligibility
- Age: 20-32 years old
- Nationality: Nationals of Afreximbank member states, African diaspora, and non-African students with a vision for Africa’s transformation
- Education: Full-time undergraduates or postgraduates in relevant fields
- Languages: Fluent in English or French (Arabic/Portuguese is a plus)
- Exclusions: Children of Afreximbank staff are not eligible
Required Documents
- Letter of application;
- Copy of their current CV;
- Copy of valid passport ;
- Certified copies of relevant academic certificates;
- Recommendation for internship from the institution of learning that they are attending. This should include the proposed period of internship up to a maximum of six months;
- Short Statement of Intent (maximum of 1 A4 page) indicating what they expect to gain out of the internship programme.
How To Apply for AFREXIMBANK Internship Program
Once accepted, successful candidates have two weeks to accept the conditional offer from Afreximbank. During this time, they must provide proof of medical insurance and group personal accident cover valid in Egypt (or the internship location). Failure to do so will result in automatic withdrawal of the offer. Interns are expected to begin their internship within the first month of each season.
