The University of Ilorin has begun registration for its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise. Interested candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline and carefully follow all admission guidelines.

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has officially opened its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening registration portal for candidates seeking admission into the institution's undergraduate programmes.

According to the university, registration commenced on Monday, 22nd June, 2026 and will run until Sunday, 5th July, 2026. Candidates are strongly advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period, as the university has stated that no update or correction will be entertained after the registration portal closes.

The management also warned candidates to ensure that every information supplied during registration is accurate, as wrong entries, inconsistencies or falsification of records will attract automatic disqualification at any stage of the admission process.

Admission into the University of Ilorin will be determined using a weighted aggregate comprising 50% UTME/A'Level score, 30% Post UTME screening score and 20% O'Level grades in five relevant subjects.

Eligibility Requirements


• Candidates must have selected UNILORIN as their First Choice Institution.

• Candidates must upload their O'Level and A'Level results (where applicable) on JAMB CAPS.

• Candidates awaiting O'Level results should indicate "AR" during registration.

• Candidates intending to change course must first process the change on JAMB CAPS before the close of registration.

• Applicants must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).

• Candidates must provide a valid O'Level result checker PIN for result verification.

• Applicants are required to use their personal email address and phone number throughout the registration process.

• Direct Entry candidates and candidates upgrading from UTME to Direct Entry must first complete the upgrade on JAMB CAPS before registering on the UNILORIN portal.





Important Admission Information


• Candidates can review and correct their information before the registration portal closes.

• Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy, Optometry & Vision Science, and Computer Engineering require O'Level results obtained in one sitting only.

• Candidates outside Nigeria applying through UTME or Direct Entry are exempted from the Post UTME screening test but will be screened after admission.

• Candidates with disabilities are also exempted from the Post UTME screening exercise.

• Candidates must ensure that their NIN and O'Level examination details on the UNILORIN portal are exactly the same as those uploaded on JAMB CAPS.

• Candidates should print their screening documents after registration and verify that all details are correctly displayed.



Registration Procedure


1. Visit https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng/ug/admissions

2. Verify your admission details.

3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number, personal email address and phone number.

4. Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee through the Remita platform.

5. Log in using the credentials sent to your email.

6. Complete the online application form.

7. Verify your NIN and upload your O'Level examination details.

8. Submit your application and print your screening slip.
