Eligibility for Cornell University STAARS Fellowship Program


To apply:
- Early career researchers, preferably Ph.D. students in their final year or those who completed their Ph.D. after 2018.
- Priority for researchers with at least one degree from an African university, planning to work in low- and lower-middle-income countries.
- Qualified female researchers are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with data sets, software (Stata and/or R), and an interest in econometric analysis.
- Access to existing data sets and knowledge of geo-referenced data and GIS software are assets.

-Submit a maximum 2500-word research proposal outlining research issues, objectives, data sources, proposed methodology.
-A plan to complete the project by June 30, 2025. Proposals must be in English.
