NIMC partners with JAMB to establish helpdesks at JAMB offices nationwide, addressing UTME registration issues like State of Origin, Date of Birth, and profile creation errors.

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to address profile creation challenges faced by prospective candidates during the 2025 UTME registration. To support this initiative, NIMC has announced plans to establish dedicated helpdesks at JAMB offices nationwide.

According to Mr. Ogundare, the NIMC Ekiti State Director, these helpdesks will assist candidates in resolving issues such as:
  • State of Origin correction
  • Date of Birth adjustments
  • No Records Found' errors
  • Name arrangement issues
  • Other profile-related concerns
Mr. Ogundare emphasized that establishing the helpdesks became necessary to decentralize services and fast-track solutions to identified challenges. He praised JAMB for its well-coordinated structure and commitment to excellence. In response, JAMB Ekiti State Office Coordinator, Mr. Olukayode Dada, welcomed the initiative, describing it as long overdue. He expressed confidence that the helpdesks would reduce delays and improve candidates' registration experiences.

He further encouraged NIMC to set up additional collation centers to support candidates in rural areas. The partnership was announced during a strategic meeting held on Thursday, March 7th, 2025, between Mr. Ogundare and Mr. Dada. Both parties agreed that these efforts would create more opportunities for candidates to resolve persistent registration issues efficiently.
