In a strong commitment to promoting education and supporting students in their academic journey, the Ondo State Scholarship Board is pleased to announce the opening of applications for Scholarships, Bursary Awards, and Financial Assistance for the 2024/2025 academic session.


This program is designed to empower students who are indigenes of Ondo State and are enrolled in various tertiary institutions, by providing essential financial support to help them succeed in their studies.

Established on April 26, 2000, the Ondo State Scholarship Board is a key intervention agency of the State Government dedicated to advancing education within the state.

Ondo State Scholarship and Bursary Benefits

• The Scholarship will award all selected and eligible candidates with a cash prize of N100,000 as support towards their education
• The Bursary is a N10,000.00 cash award as a grant to support students expenses.
• A special financial assistance of #50,000.00 yearly is granted to each of the physically challenged students who are indigenes of Ondo State in recognized tertiary institutions in Nigeria; i.e. N.C.E, O.N.D, H.N.D, Undergraduate and Postgraduate.
• This award is also extended to students in Law Schools in Nigeria, as well as medical students, and is regardless of their examination grades or scores.

Ondo State Scholarship and Bursary Eligibility

General Requirements:

• State of Origin: Must be an indigene of Ondo State.
• Institution Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a recognized tertiary institution within Nigeria.
• Academic Standing: Applicants should have completed at least one academic session in their current institution.

For Ondo State Scholarship Awards

• Students of Ondo State origin.
• Enrolled in the second (2nd) year and above in their courses of study.
• Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 for Universities on a scale of 4.0.
• Minimum CGPA of 4.0 for Universities on a scale of 5.0.
• Students in Polytechnics must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0

For Financial Assistance

• Be Ondo State students
• Be enrolled in Nigerian Law Schools, medical students undergoing clinical training,
• Be physically challenged students in tertiary institutions across the country.

For the Ondo State Bursary Award

• Be students of Ondo State origin
• Be enrolled in Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, Colleges of Education, Schools of Nursing/Midwifery, and Colleges of Health Technology across the country
