Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has officially announced the commencement of its Post UTME screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Candidates who selected RSU as their first-choice institution during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are invited to apply for the screening exercise.

Eligibility Criteria

- Candidates must have chosen Rivers State University as first-choice institution.
- Candidates must score a minimum of 190 in the 2026 UTME.
- Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes relevant to their chosen course including English Language and Mathematics where applicable.
- Awaiting Result candidates can also apply but must indicate awaiting result during registration.
- Candidates are required to upload their O’Level results on the portal.

RSU Post UTME Registration Procedures

Eligible candidates are to register online through the university admission portal.

Registration Steps:

1. Visit:
https://apply.rsu.edu.ng

2. Login using your JAMB Registration Number.

3. Generate payment invoice.

4. Make payment using a valid debit card.

5. Complete the online application form.

6. Proceed for biometric verification.

7. Print out the screening examination slip after successful registration.

Candidates are advised to use the ICT Centre of the university for reliable registration and biometric verification.

Screening Exercise Details

The screening exercise will be conducted electronically through a Computer-Based Test. Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the use of a computer system, especially the mouse and keyboard before the examination date.

Screening Date:
Monday, 15th June 2026

Candidates are expected to strictly adhere to the examination date and time indicated on their screening slip. Candidates who fail to appear as scheduled may not be considered.

- Registration Begins: Monday, 18th May 2026
- Registration Closes: Sunday, 7th June 2026

Dress Code

Candidates are expected to dress properly and modestly during the screening exercise. Improper dressing may lead to disqualification from the screening venue.

Parents, guardians, and well-wishers are advised to stay away from the screening venue.
