About TechWomen Program
TechWomen unites upcoming female STEM leaders with U.S. counterparts in a five-week mentorship and exchange initiative. Through project-based mentorships, professional workshops, and networking in the San Francisco Bay Area or Chicago, participants grow. The program also involves travel to Washington, D.C. for tailored meetings and exclusive events.

Techwomen Program Eligibility
To apply, candidates must:
- Be women with at least two years of full-time professional experience in STEM.
- Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Be citizens or permanent residents of selected countries.
- Be eligible to obtain a U.S. J-1 exchange visitor visa.
- Not have applied for an immigrant visa to the U.S. in the past five years.
- Not hold U.S. citizenship or be a U.S. legal permanent resident.
Benefits of TechWomen Program 2024
The program covers:
- Roundtrip international airfare.
- Domestic airfare within the U.S.
- Housing during the mentorship period.
- Meals and incidentals during the Washington, D.C.
- Public transportation to the participant host company.
- Local transportation to program events.
Participants are responsible for non-program activities and additional travel costs.
Housing
TechWomen participants will share apartments in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, California, Emeryville, California, or Chicago, Illinois, depending on the host company’s location. Each participant has a private bedroom while sharing the living room and kitchen with a fellow emerging Leader.
