The Management, University of Lagos (UNILAG), has approved the programme for the 52nd (2020) Convocation Ceremonies of the University.

Pre-convocation conference Press Conference

Graduating class of 2020, parents, guardians, and members of the university community are hereby informed that the 52nd (2020) Pre-Convocation Press Conference earlier scheduled for Wednesday, January 12, 2022, is now to hold as follows:

Date: Tuesday, January 11, 2022
Venue: Senate Chamber, 2nd Floor, Senate House, University of Lagos.
Time: 11:00 a.m.

Payments for ALL graduating students for the 52nd (2020) Convocation Ceremonies are as outlined below:

Mandatory Payment
Payment for ALL graduating students for the Convocation Ceremonies shall be as stated below:
Purchase/Hiring
Gown, Hood & Cap shall be obtained at the following costs:
Academic outfits will be available at the College of Medicine, School of Postgraduate Studies, Faculties, and the Distance Learning Institute.

(iii) Return of Academic Outfit
The deadline for the return of all academic outfits shall be Thursday, February 3, 2022, while those who fail to return the outfit shall be made to bear the cost of outright purchase (N20,000.00) before clearance is issued.

(iv) Collection of Certificates
All graduating students are expected to collect their certificates within three (3) months after Convocation. Failure to collect them will attract a demurrage of N50 per day.

Alumni Registration Fee to be paid into Unilag Alumni Association Accounts as follows:

Invitation Cards for Graduating Students

Each graduating student shall register to attend the Convocation Ceremonies. On successful registration, graduating students are to print out the Access Code and present same at the Convocation Venue for admittance to be granted into the J.F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium. Convocation Brochures are to be collected at the various locations earlier mentioned. Graduating students are enjoined to attend the Convocation Ceremonies at the time allotted to them.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS on behalf of the entire University community congratulates all graduating students. Please be assured that certificates would be ready for collection immediately after each ceremony upon the presentation of all necessary clearance.
