The World Bank Youth Summit 2025 is a global platform designed to empower young leaders to develop and present innovative solutions to today’s most critical challenges. Under the theme “New Horizons: Youth-Led Innovation for a Sustainable and Equitable World,” the summit highlights the pivotal role of youth in shaping a resilient future.


The event focuses on three thematic pillars:

• Digital Transformation & Data: Exploring the potential of AI, big data, and technology to bridge inequalities and drive progress.
• Climate Action & Resilience: Advancing solutions to mitigate climate change and promote sustainable development.
• Creative Industries: Harnessing cultural creativity to generate employment and preserve heritage.

A key feature of the summit is the Pitch Competition, inviting young innovators worldwide to present their impactful ideas. Finalists receive a fully funded invitation to Washington, D.C., for the summit, providing a global stage to network, collaborate, and inspire change.

World Bank Youth Summit 2025 Benefits

• Travel expenses, including lodging and a nominal stipend for up to three nights, will be covered by one representative per team.
• The representative is required to obtain a valid U.S. visa for their travel. Other team members can participate in the event through the virtual platform.
• They will also be offered an opportunity to pitch to potential investors, get tailored mentoring, and receive admission into the inaugural World Bank Group Youth Summit Alumni Network, as well as other virtual and in-person initiatives to elevate the finalists’ stories and solutions throughout the World Bank Group network.

World Bank Youth Summit 2025 Eligibility

To be eligible for the World Bank Youth Summit 2025, participants must meet the following criteria:

• All team members are between 18 – 35 years old, on the date of the application deadline.
• Each team member should be from one of the World Bank Group member countries.
• The solution should address at least one of the three thematic pillars (Data Driven Transformation, Climate Action & Resilience, Empowering Change through Creative Industries). Cross-thematic and scalable solutions across more than one pillar are also accepted for consideration.
