About Africa AgriFood Development Programme
The Africa AgriFood Development Programme (AADP) is a joint initiative of the Government of Ireland’s Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the Department of Foreign Affairs. The programme aims to support sustainable agri-food partnerships between Irish companies and African partners to foster inclusive growth, create employment, and improve food security in Africa. - AADP supports commercial agri-food projects involving an Irish company and an African partner.
- Funding is up to €250,000 for full projects or €100,000 for feasibility studies, covering no more than 50% of project costs.
- Only Irish-registered companies can receive funding, which must not come from other Irish public sources.
- Projects must operate in specific African countries and show clear added value.
- Previous recipients must outline how new proposals differ.
- Feasibility studies should list potential partners, and collaboration with Irish NGOs is encouraged.

To apply for the AADP 2025- download the official application form for either a full project or feasibility study.
- Complete and submit it via email to aadp@dfa.ie by August 15, 2025.
