Launched in 2018, the program identifies and supports African-led solutions that improve learning outcomes, bridge access gaps, and enhance education delivery across the continent. Each year, the IEA brings together education innovators, policymakers, and stakeholders to showcase cutting-edge practices that are transforming Africa’s education systems. Through funding, visibility, and strategic partnerships, the initiative accelerates the adoption of evidence-based innovations that align with the AU’s Continental Education Strategy for Africa (CESA 16–25).
