The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will begin on January 31st, 2025 , and end on March 5th, 2025 .
Candidated are advised to use official Jamb(UTME) CBT practice past questions and also study using the official Jamb(UTME) past questions to excel in their exams.
This was revealed by the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during a session with media executives in Lagos.
The purchase of registration PINs will close on March 5th, 2025 , while the registration process will officially conclude on March 8th, 2025 . Candidates interested in the mock UTME must register and indicate their interest by February 23rd, 2025 .
Additionally, Direct Entry applicants can purchase their application documents and e-PINs between March 10th and April 7th, 2025.
The Mock UTME is set for April 5th, 2025 , while the main UTME will take place from April 25th to May 5th, 2025.
Age Limit and Mock-Trial Examination for Younger Candidates
JAMB has introduced a mock-trial test for underage candidates who do not meet the 16-year age requirement for admission into tertiary institutions.
While the 16-year age limit will be strictly enforced, exceptionally talented candidates below 15 years old may register if they score at least 280 in the UTME and excel in their Senior Secondary Certificate and Post-UTME examinations.
Jamb Registration Fees for 2025
JAMB has provided four e-PIN categories to accommodate candidates’ needs and budgets:
- Mock Only Trial Testing (for underage candidates): ₦3,500
- Direct Entry Application: ₦5,700
- UTME Without Mock-UTME: ₦7,200
- UTME With Mock-UTME: ₦8,700
