About Startup Innovation Challenge/Hackathon
The Startup Innovation Challenge 2025 is an online hackathon and business growth experience designed to empower startups, SMEs, tech innovators, and entrepreneurs across Nigeria. The Abuja edition offers participants a chance to compete for ₦100 million in prizes, including cash rewards, AWS credits, mentorship, and access to valuable business resources and support. This initiative aims to foster innovation, provide growth opportunities, and help Nigerian startups scale their impact both locally and globally.
Startup Innovation Challenge/Hackathon Eligibility
- Be aged between 14 – 45 (male and female)
- Nigerian or any other African
- Or Non-Africans building for the African market.
- Your idea or startup is tech-enabled
Startup Innovation Challenge/Hackathon Benefits
- 1st Prize: ₦10 million worth of value — includes ₦5 million in cash, ₦ 4 million worth of AWS credits, and ₦ 1 million worth of tailored business mentorship
- 2nd Prize: ₦8 million worth — includes ₦3 million in cash, ₦ 4 million worth of AWS credits, and ₦ 1 million worth of tailored business mentorship
- 3rd Prize: ₦7 million worth — includes ₦2 million in cash, ₦ 4 in million worth of AWS credits, and ₦ 1 million worth of tailored business mentorship
- 10 Runner-Ups: includes ₦200,000 in cash + ₦ 1.5 million worth of AWS credits for each person/team
- All selected participants: ₦ 500,000 worth of AWS credits.
