The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has taken decisive action during the ongoing 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by delisting five Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres over technical shortcomings and ethical violations. In a parallel move to uphold examination integrity, 27 impersonators have been arrested and handed over to law enforcement for prosecution. JAMB has also issued a firm warning to all accredited centres against unauthorized practices, reaffirming its commitment to a transparent and fair examination process. Additionally, the Board addressed concerns over the unjust treatment of candidates wearing hijabs at Caleb University, ensuring swift corrective measures were taken to protect candidate rights.


Reasons: Failure to meet technical and ethical standards.
Affected Centres:
  • Adventure Associate, Kano.
  • Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Kano.
  • Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 2, Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.
  • Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 1, Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.
  • Soronara Ventured Nigeria Limited, Mbaitoli, Imo State.
  • Candidates assigned to these centres must urgently reprint their exam slips to find out their new centre and rescheduled date.
Warning to Other CBT Centres
  • JAMB praised the 883 centres that performed well.
  • However, it warns that any centre that fails to meet standards, no matter who owns it, will be blacklisted.
Crackdown on Examination Malpractice
  • 27 impersonators have been arrested and handed over to the Nigeria Police for prosecution.
Caleb University Incident (Hijab Issue)
  • An overzealous security officer wrongly restricted hijab-wearing candidates.
  • Vice-Chancellor condemned the act.
  • JAMB apologized to affected candidates.

  • Over 900,000 candidates have successfully completed the UTME.
  • Out of a total of 2,083,600 registered candidates.
