The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted approval for the establishment of 23 new full-time academic programmes at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State. The approval, which takes effect from the 2025/2026 academic session, follows a successful resource verification exercise conducted by panels of experts who assessed the human and material resources available for the proposed programmes.

In a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, the NUC confirmed that the Executive Secretary had carefully considered the report and approved the new programmes to be run on the university’s main campus.
