About WACSI Next Generation Internship

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) launched the Next Generation Internship Programme (NGIP) in 2008 to cultivate a new cadre of skilled professionals committed to strengthening civil society across West Africa. This initiative offers young West Africans—particularly recent graduates and early-career professionals—an immersive, six-month, fully funded internship based in Accra, Ghana.

WACSI Next Generation Internship Eligibility

Applicants should:

• Be citizens of The Gambia, Liberia, or Burkina Faso.

• Demonstrate interest in civil society, capacity development, policy advocacy, or knowledge management.
• Possess strong communication skills in English, French, or Portuguese, with working knowledge of at least one additional language preferred.
