University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Ilorin, has commenced admission into its Postgraduate Diploma in Community Health Education (PGDCHE) for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma in Community Health Education programme offered by the College of Community Health, UITH, in affiliation with the University of Ilorin.

Eligibility Criteria


General Requirements
Applicants must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes in:

- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology

Results must be obtained in not more than two sittings through WAEC, NECO, or GCE.

Professional Requirements
- Applicants must possess Community Health Officer certificate or result.
- Applicants must possess a valid current practicing license issued by the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).
Academic Qualification

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division from a university recognized by the Senate of the University of Ilorin in any of the following disciplines:

- Community Health
- Health Education
- Public Health

NYSC Requirement
- National Youth Service Corps Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion Certificate is compulsory.

Candidates are required to complete the online application form and make payment through the Remita platform only into the UITH General Purpose Account.

Payment Procedure

1. Visit:
remita.net

2. Click on:
Pay FGN and State TSA

3. Select:
Federal Government of Nigeria

4. Type:
University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital

5. Select:
UITH GENERAL PURPOSE on Name of Service/Purpose

6. Complete the remaining payment details and make payment.

7. Submit payment receipt to the Bursary Unit for verification.


Important Notice
- Cash payments are not allowed.
- Transfers to personal accounts are not accepted.

Other Relevant Information
- Late submission of forms will not be entertained.
- Candidates with unclear passport photographs will not be admitted for screening.
- Candidates who fail to appear for screening as scheduled will not be considered for admission.
- Applicants are advised to come with their application slip and writing materials.
- GSM phones and electronic devices are prohibited during screening.
- All photocopies of documents must be clear and legible.
- Evidence of change of name where applicable must be attached.
- Screening results will be published on the UITH website and school notice boards.

Application Process After Payment
- Proceed with online registration using the generated Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number.
- Enter a valid personal email address.
- A confirmation link will be sent to the registered email address.
- Open the link sent from noreply@uithilorin.
- Complete and submit the online CHO application form.
- Print the completed application form after submission.

Candidates are advised to bring the online printout during examination or interview.
